It’s a tough day for the Pittsburgh Steelers as they try to deal with the loss to the Browns. They will also have to move along without standout Joey Porter Jr. because of a trade. And Jalen Ramsey offered his take on the Porter deal, as he knows a thing or two about the sour situation that led to the Cowboys trade, according to a post on X by Brooke Pryor.

“Jalen Ramsey spoke on Joey Porter Jr. at length after tonight’s game: ‘I was in that situation before, and I know it can leave a sour taste in people's mouths, especially fans. But one thing I can say is Joey loves Pittsburgh. Joey loved his team, but business is business.’ ”

Steelers, CB Jalen Ramsey need to move on

Ramsey said he’s looking forward.

“It’s easy for people to wanna be mad at Joey, whatever the case may be,” Ramsey said. “It’s a business decision. It happened, and everybody moves on. I was Joey at one point. Whenever I was 24 years old. Our situations were a little bit different, but they had some similarities.”

Ramsey’s teammate, safety Jaquan Brisker, was a teammate of Porter at Penn State. He said he agreed with moving on, according to a post on X by Pryor.

“I was definitely thinking about it last night,” Brisker said. “But I mean, we talked about it. He texted me before it happened and things like that. We're professional. We just got to move on. But of course it's my brother, so I'm with him.”

The Steelers are reeling from their 27-24 loss to the Browns. They entered the game in a four-way tie for first place. Now, they’re 2-2 and in last place.

And Steelers head coach Mike McCarthy is having to deal with the distractions, according to ESPN.

“Communication sometimes is not the best choice of words, but everybody's competing on the field,” McCarthy said. “I think what's said on the field, the way I grew up in this game, usually stays on the field. That's not the case today. I understand that. But any negative communication on my part, I wish I wouldn't use those words.”
