There’s no doubt that Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Jalen Ramsey plays with intensity. But a wrist injury has held him back. However, Ramsey got a huge injury update for the game against the Browns on Thursday Night Football, according to a post on X by Jeremy Fowler.

“Steelers corner Jalen Ramsey (questionable, wrist) is expected to play tonight vs. Cleveland, per sources. Broken wrist on three days' rest, and Ramsey still plans to play.”

That’s a pretty impressive “go” response. Ramsey is an 11-year NFL veteran who has earned eight Pro Bowl honors. Ramsey also made All-Pro honors three times.

Steelers glad to have CB Jalen Ramsey on the field

After the trade of Joey Porter Jr. to the Cowboys, the Steelers needed some good news from their cornerback room. Ramsey’s presence could alleviate some issues for the matchup against a division rival.

Ramsey said recently that he knows playing with his injury will be a difficult chore, according to ESPN.

“I got to be able to protect it, obviously,” Ramsey said. “[It's a] broken wrist, so it's not like I can't really do anything about it. It's just going to be about seeing if I'm able to protect it and also still be myself in a good enough capacity where I feel like if I go out there, I won't be letting any of my teammates down.”

The 31-year-old Ramsey didn’t downplay the injury, which he suffered in Week 3 against the Bengals.

“It was hurting,” he said.
