The Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Derrick Harmon avoided a long-term injury after being carted off during Thursday night's 27-24 loss to the Cleveland Browns.

Harmon suffered a foot injury in the second quarter and was ruled out after initially being listed as questionable to return. He was seen wearing a walking boot on his left foot after the game.

However, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported that Harmon is expected to miss only a few weeks. The Steelers could place him on injured reserve, but that decision has not been made. The injury is not expected to keep him out for an extended period.

“#Steelers DT Derrick Harmon, who was carted off on Thursday night with a foot injury, is expected to miss a few weeks, source said. IR would be a consideration for Harmon, though it’s not definite. Either way, not a long-term injury,” Rapoport tweeted.
