The Seattle Seahawks (3-3) will have had 10 days to diagnose their offensive struggles by the time they face the Kansas City Chiefs (5-0) in Lumen Field this Sunday night, and Sam Darnold is using the mini-bye to emphasize one quality in particular.

“Really happy where we're at,” the Super Bowl-winning quarterback said, per 93.3 KJR's Gregg Bell. “Obviously, there's some things we got to get better at, and we've addressed those things. I think the biggest thing for us is just consistency. Consistency day in and day out… Got to prepare really well and do everything that we can to all be on the same page. And go out there so we can play decisively.”

Sam Darnold said the time to assess during #Seahawks minicamp was positive for him. He won’t share specifics on what he and the offense learned.

A steady Darnold can help the Seahawks win a championship. Fans have already seen that blueprint put into action. Now, they are asking him to break out of his recent funk and protect the ball. The two-time Pro Bowl selection has thrown seven interceptions in five games this season. He did his part to help a flatlining Denver Broncos offense last Thursday night, tossing two picks, including one that set up the winning field goal in overtime. Consistency is indeed needed.

The Chiefs are not typically a get-right opponent. Steve Spagnuolo is one of the greatest defensive coordinators of all-time and leads a unit that is allowing an AFC-best 16.6 points per game. Seattle cannot afford too many Sam Darnold blunders in this upcoming prime-time clash, even with a fervid home crowd in its corner.

No. 14 will have to apply what he learned during the last week and make the necessary adjustments. He has certainly done so before.
