The Seattle Seahawks will be going up against the San Francisco 49ers in a divisional rival matchup in Week 5, and both teams seem to be ready for the matchup. For the Seahawks, they know they're going up against one of the better defenses in the league, and they'll have to find a way to put points on the board.

Sam Darnold spoke highly of the 49ers' defense and how they've been able to be so successful this season.

“They do a really good job. Getting into the nitty-gritty, their backers, their back end, and then obviously their rush all being tied together. They do a really good job with that and really just keeping everything in front of them. They do a really good job of tackling as well, which, I think, helps limit those explosives,” Darnold said via ESPN's Brady Henderson.

Darnold was then asked how he finds the balance of being aggressive while also taking what the defense gives them.

“You always want to stay on schedule as a quarterback,” Darnold said. “Like first and second down, staying on schedule, keeping the ball moving forward. Exposives will come. I don't think you're ever really hunting explosives. They just kind of come naturally within the game plan. That's gonna be my mindset. That's gonna be our mindset going out there.”

So far this season, the Seahawks have been able to stay successful on offense, and their passing game continues to be something that opposing teams can't stop. It'll be interesting to see how the 49ers will look to limit their offense, and it might start with their pressure on Darnold.

These two teams have had some battles, especially last season, when they also saw each other in the playoffs, and the Seahawks won.
