It's been a bit of a roller coaster season for the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks are defending their Super Bowl title in 2026. But things have not been all peachy this year. On Sunday Night Football, though, Seattle sent a clear message to the NFL.

The Seahawks dominated the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night. They spoiled Kenneth Walker III's return to Seattle with a 20-3 win on home field. After the game, head coach Mike Macdonald made clear that his team remains a contender, even if there have been some hiccups.

“This reminds the guys what we're capable off. I think our guys understand that there's more levels to where we can go… We're still a championship caliber team,” the Seattle coach said in a clip shared by NFL Network.

The Seahawks had a lot of success on defense against the Chiefs. Perhaps the crowning achievement was keeping Walker at bay. The Chiefs running back had dominated through the first six weeks of the season.

However, he made little impact on Sunday. He had 14 carries for just 36 yards against Seattle. He did add 21 yards on four catches, but it was hardly his best performance of the 2026 campaign.

The Chiefs are no longer undefeated as a result of this loss. After the Sunday slate of games in Week 7, only one team remains without a defeat. The Minnesota Vikings are 6-0 after taking down the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

For the Seahawks, they move to 4-3 on the season. They are second behind the previously undefeated San Francisco 49ers, who sit at 6-1. Seattle will look to carry this momentum into Monday Night Football next week against the Chicago Bears.
