It looked like Bryce Young and Dave Canales were disconnected in the Carolina Panthers' blowout loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, 43-13, at Bank of America Stadium on Sunday.

Well, they were on the same page after it, at least.

Young and Canales were disgusted with their anemic performance. They suffered from a terrible start, scoring only six points in the first half and giving up 33 points to the Buccaneers.

“Obviously, (it was) not Panthers football. Not something we want to do,” said Young, as quoted by FOX Sports Radio1340's Sheena Quick.

Canales said the loss “was a shock” to the system, acknowledging that they have to play “better football.”

“Literally, I've never been part of a half of football like that. To experience it in all phases: Block-kick, sack-fumble, interception, a drop punt. Then the defensive side really just not getting off the field in different ways,” said Canales.

“Shoot, it was just like, I don't know. It just felt so crazy and so egregiously different to the ball we're used to playing. I'm gonna look at the things and see what was technical about it, what the execution was, and look at all those things.”

Young went 14-of-27 for 163 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions. He was sacked five times. He was replaced by Kenny Pickett in the closing minutes.

The Panthers scored their lowest output of the season and had four turnovers.

Carolina fell to 3-3, while Tampa Bay improved to 2-5.

The loss was extra costly for Carolina, as Taylor Moton suffered an ankle injury in the third quarter and did not return. He missed the first four weeks due to blood clots in his lungs.
