The Seattle Seahawks are coming off a disappointing 33-31 loss to the Washington Commanders over the weekend, stopping their quest to begin the 2026 NFL campaign with a perfect 3-0 record.
The defending Super Bowl champions were without the services of safety Julian Love, who missed the game because of a calf issue that arose during a practice earlier in the week.
However, the good news for Seahawks fans is that, according to Love, he is optimistic that he'll be able to play when they take on the Los Angeles Chargers this Sunday at home.
“I feel good,” Love said via MyNorthwest. “I’m gonna try to push. Obviously, I’ll keep working and see how practice goes today, tomorrow.”

“They did a good job,” Love said of his impressions of their performance in his absence. “A.J. Finley is a guy we really trust and believe in and he brought a nice calmness to everybody. I know it’s a big undertaking in this defense filling in on short notice.”
So far this season, Love has amassed seven solo tackles. He was originally taken in the 2019 NFL Draft by the New York Giants, where he played until he departed via free agency to accept a two-year contract with the Seahawks in 2023. In 2024, he agreed to an extension, a three-year, $36 million pact.
