Seattle Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald offered a blunt assessment after his team’s 34-17 loss vs. the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football at Lumen Field.

The defending Super Bowl champions dropped to 4-4, while the Bears improved to 6-2 behind three rushing touchdowns from D’Andre Swift and a productive performance from quarterback Caleb Williams.

Macdonald credited Chicago for executing the fundamentals Seattle failed to deliver, addressing the defeat during his postgame press conference.

93.3 KJR’s Gregg Bell posted Macdonald’s reaction Monday on X, formerly Twitter, capturing the coach’s assessment after the Seahawks’ home loss.

“I mean, we got beat, and, um, not no other way to sugarcoat it. I think when you look at the things that it takes to win in our league, we didn't do those things, and they did. So credit to them.”
