The Seattle Seahawks are currently gearing up for their upcoming home game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday evening. The Seahawks are looking to bounce back after an ugly loss on the road vs the Denver Broncos last week in prime time, one in which the offense struggled mightily to produce.

Now, the team has gotten a key injury update ahead of the big game vs the Chiefs, and it isn't a good one.

“Source: Seahawks TE Elijah Arroyo is undergoing shoulder surgery today and will miss the rest of the season,” reported NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN on X, formerly Twitter.

Arroyo suffered the injury last week against Denver, and now, the team will be without one of its most reliable security blankets down the field for the rest of the way.

Meanwhile, the team also got a status update on running back Zach Charbonnet.

“Seahawks also activated running back Zach Charbonnet from the physically unable to perform list,” reported Schefter on X.

Charbonnet has yet to appear in a game this season, having torn his ACL last year during the team's run to the Super Bowl title, although it's certainly good news that he has now been activated.

On Sunday, the Seahawks will take on their former running back, Kenneth Walker III, who won the Super Bowl MVP award last year in Charbonnet's absence, and has since gotten off to a red-hot start to his tenure with the Chiefs this season.

In any case, kickoff is set for 8:20 pm ET on Sunday.
