Robert Saleh might already be on the hot seat.
That's the verdict ofÃÂ talkSPORT's Brian T. Smith, who was left astounded by the Tennessee Titans' Week 1 performance against the New York Jets.
The Titans entered the 2026 NFL season optimistic that they would better what was a lowly 3-14 campaign the previous year.
Then-head coach Brian Callahan was ousted with Robert Saleh appointed to steer the ship back to winning ways.
But after suffering a 23-10 defeat to the Jets on their home turf at Nissan Stadium, alarm bells might already be starting to ring.
"[Saleh] has bounced around the league. You go from the Jets. You're a coordinator, you're a coach, you've got Cam Ward that's a number one overall pick," talkSPORT's Senior US Reporter Brian T. SMith said on talkSPORT's new Tuesday show Inside the NFL.
"This is a Titans team that's moving into a new stadium.
"That was a horrible, horrible loss for the Tennessee Titans against a Jets team that might win four games this year, and Aaron Glenn might get fired.
"Watch out for Robert Saleh this year."

What makes the Titans' loss to the Jets more stifling, is that prior to the start of the season Smith had listed six NFL coaches who could be axed before Week 6.
Jets head coach Aaron Glenn topped that list.
"An embattledÃÂ Geno SmithÃÂ also isn't helping Glenn's cause. But the current leader of the J-E-T-S has mostly brought this upon himself," Smith wrote when justifying why Glenn would be under the most pressure out of anyone, with Todd Bowles and Shane Steichen also predicted to feel some early heat.
"Glenn went 3-14 during his rookie year, while New York posted the worst point differential (-203) in the NFL.
"The Jets have a few weapons on both sides of the ball, which means that another season like 2025 will kick Glenn to the curb in unforgiving New York."
The reality for the Titans, though, is that they have a lot of issues that still need addressing.
Titans offense needs time to gel
Despite having the No. 1 overall pick in 2025, the jury is still out on whether Ward is up to the level of being a franchise quarterback in the NFL.
In his rookie season, the 24-year-old struggled with his passing accuracy, completing just 59.8 percent of his throws for 3,169 yards and 15 touchdowns. He also fired seven interceptions.
Against the Jets, he completed just 19 of his 32 pass attempts for 140 passing yards and a touchdown, and was sacked three times.
But Ward's production has been impacted by his offensive line's inability to protect the young signal caller.
Playing all 17 games, Ward was sacked 55 times in 2025, which was tied for the most in the NFL with Smith, at the time suiting up for the Las Vegas Raiders.
This season, though, Tennessee's offense is going to need to be afforded some time to gel together, with a completely overhauled wide receiver room.
Their top receivers consist of experienced veteran Calvin Ridley, five-year pro Wan'Dale Robinson, who made the switch to the Titans in free agency after four seasons with the New York Giants, and rookie wideout Carnell Tate.
Ridley and Robinson combined for just 1,317 receiving yards in 2025, 1,014 of which came from the former Giant alone, and four touchdowns.
It's up to Saleh - a defensive-minded head coach - and offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, though, to turn this around with a tricky visit to Lincoln Financial Field in Week 2, where they will face the Philadelphia Eagles.
