After having to cancel an appearance at Washington State Horror Con, WWE legend Ric Flair revealed that he is dealing with blood clots like Jalen Hurts.

Flair took to X, formerly Twitter, to apologize for canceling his appearance at Washington State Horror Con. He revealed that he's dealing with blood clots in his leg, and doctors are limiting his travel to three or four hours. Sadly, Seattle is too far out of the range he was given, and he has to “put my health and recovery first.”

“Blood Clots Are Extremely Serious And Can Be Life-Threatening,” he explained. “We Have Seen This Recently With Jalen Hurts And The Complications Involving Blood Clots In His Lungs. It Is A Reminder That This Is Not Something To Take Lightly, And I Must Follow Medical Advice.”

The former WWE Superstar already has a procedure scheduled to “strip the affected vein.” Luckily, he is expected to be allowed to travel further afterward.

He concluded by once again reassuring that the decision “was not made lightly.” Flair said, “I Am Truly Sorry For The Inconvenience And Disappointment, And I Am Incredibly Grateful For Your Patience, Understanding, And Continued Support.” It sounds like he will be back in Seattle once he can, though, as he signed off by writing, “I Look Forward To Getting Healthy And Seeing You All Down The Road.”

Blood clots are currently a hot topic in the NFL. Hurts will miss the rest of the Philadelphia Eagles' season with blood clots. He first reported a calf injury after the Eagles lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars in London, England.

However, further imaging revealed that he has blood clots in his lungs. He is expected to make a full recovery and is currently on blood thinners. It is unlikely he will return to the field this season.
