49ers wide receiver Mike Evans had to leave Sunday’s win over the Cardinals on a cart after suffering a rib injury, but it does not look like he will be missing much time as a result.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Evans is considered day-to-day after undergoing further evaluation. That’s good news for Evans and good news for a 49ers receiving corps that’s already been riddled by injuries this season.
De’Zhaun Stribling, Demarcus Robinson, Christian Kirk, and Ricky Pearsall are all on injured reserve, so losing Evans for any meaningful period of time would leave the cupboard quite bare for San Francisco.
The 49ers have injury issues at other spots to sort through, but they can breathe at least a quiet sigh of relief about Evans.
