Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Junior Caminero delivered more than a crucial home run Monday night, paying tribute to former teammate Randy Arozarena during Game 6 of the American League Championship Series.
The 23-year-old blasted a two-run homer off Cleveland Guardians reliever Cade Smith in the seventh inning at Tropicana Field. The shot struck the left-field foul pole, extending Tampa Bay's lead to 5-1.
However, Caminero's celebration provided another memorable moment as the Rays closed in on their first World Series appearance since 2020.
During his home-run trot, Caminero looked toward Arozarena in the stands before crossing his arms to recreate the former Rays outfielder's signature celebration.
MLB shared footage of the tribute Monday on X, formerly Twitter, capturing Caminero acknowledging Arozarena before crossing home plate.
