Afterwards, the four-time Pro Bowl cornerback explained to The Baltimore Sun that the interaction was unplanned. He said it was not an endorsement of Trump or an indication of his political affiliation. Humphrey also acknowledged the local significance of a planned multibillion-dollar shipyard facility and even rode in the presidential motorcade. Ed Reed, however, offered a dramatically different assessment.
The Hall of Fame safety responded to Humphrey’s explanation on X with a blunt two-word response: “Sucker mf.”
