The Los Angeles Rams need to rescue their season and fast. LA is not looking like a super team after their poor 2-4 start to the season. To make matters worse, Davante Adams suffered a major injury to put LA even more behind the eight ball. How will the Rams go about replacing Adams for the rest of their must-win 2026 campaign?
ESPN's Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano shared some intel from around the league before Week 7 in their latest article. Graziano explained the predicament the Rams find themselves in after the Adams injury.
“I do not expect the Rams to go down without a fight, and my understanding is that they will at least explore the possibility of trading for a wide receiver in the wake of the Davante Adams injury. The issue, of course, is that they don't have a ton to trade,” Graziano wrote. “They are without their first-round pick in the 2027 draft as a result of the Myles Garrett trade. They are without their third-round pick in that same draft as a result of the Trent McDuffie trade. And they're missing their second-round pick in 2028 and their third-round pick in 2029, both also as a result of the Garrett trade.”
LA could use another playmaker on offense to pair with Puka Nacua for the rest of the season. But with few resources to work with, it is hard to imagine the Rams pulling off another splashy trade.
Graziano suggested the Rams may look to make a player-for-player trade given their lack of draft picks.
“Could the Rams make a player-for-player swap of some sort? Would a team be interested in backup QB Stetson Bennett if the Rams decide rookie Ty Simpson is ready to be Matthew Stafford's backup?” Graziano added.

Next up for the Rams is a must-win road game against the Raiders.
