After coming up short to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1, the Los Angeles Rams proved why they are still one of the premier football teams in the league in Week 2, taking down the New York Giants 28-6 with the entire NFL world watching along on Monday Night Football.
Coming just five yards short of 200 yards in a vintage performance for the ages with Puka Nacua sidelined, Adams took some time in a pre-planned appearance on Up & Adams to gas up one of his teammates, Trent McDuffie, who gave players like Malik Nabers consistent trouble at SoFi on Monday night.
“I'll say Trent McDuffie. He's my favorite corner in the league after getting here and seeing him work. I think he's the best corner in the league,” Adams noted. “And to see last night was a little glimpse of it. And he's one of the, I can't remember the way that I do about him, about another corner. And he's kind of, you know, runs that back in and, you know, everybody see what he's doing and follow right behind, you know, following his lead. And I'm excited to see what he's doing.”
Acquired for a first, fifth, and sixth-round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, plus another third-rounder in 2027, the Rams immediately handed McDuffie a $124 million extension to headline their defense for years to come. While the sample size is still small, so far, McDuffie looks like a bargain, as when one of the best wide receivers in the NFL over the last decade has such glowing praise, it's probably true.
