A radio host is calling out Bill Belichick over his treatment of a female reporter recently.

ESPN sideline reporter Stormy Buonantony spoke to Belichick during UNC-Chapel Hill's recent game against Clemson when she asked what he thought about the number of penalties his team received.

“Too many of them. Too many,” he said.

Belichick then gave Buonantony another mundane answer when asked if there's anything they need to do to stop: “No, we just have to keep executing better. Too many penalties.”

She later threw the mic to the play-by-play and color commentary team after the interview, sharing, “But I do just want to say, [it was a] very different feel on the sideline than we had yesterday at our meetings, right? The way we were talking, it was story time.”

Jonathan Van Tobel of VSiN’s weekday show, Money Moves, thought Belichick's interaction with Buonantony made him look like an “a**hole” and “jerk” for not giving her more in-depth answers.

“Bill Belichick was a complete and total a-hole to you,” Van Tobel, said on the Monday, September 21, episode of the show. “It was absolutely ridiculous. The people that are trying to come in and say, like, ‘Oh, don’t cry about it’ or whatever, it was absolutely unprofessional.”

Van Tobel called Belichick out for the switch-up after seemingly being “very nice” to her the day before and then no longer acting in that way.

He continued: “And if I may say, because I think you said this on the broadcast anyway, the thing that annoys me the most is two things… The first one is he was very nice to you in your meetings on Friday, was he not?”

The radio host continued to dig into Belichick adding that he was not unhappy he fell to Clemson 20-28 with their first loss of the season, “And a lot of people were trying to fight back on me. No, you don’t do that to my co-host. I am the one that gets to do those sort of things. I am the one that gets to push buttons. …But you don’t do that to her, especially don’t do it on purpose. You’re a jerk, Belichick. I’m glad you lost the game.”

Belichick has not yet shared what he thinks of Van Tobel's commentary on the situation; neither has Buonantony.

Prior to the Clemson loss on Saturday, UNC started off the season strong with wins against TCU (15-10) and East Tennessee State (35-3).

UNC's next matchup is against Notre Dame on Oct. 3.
