Louisville football is coming off back-to-back losses, both in ACC play. After knocking off a ranked SMU, Louisville was upset at home by Wake Forest. They would struggle the next game as well, losing to NC State by three.

Meanwhile, quarterback Lincoln Kienholz was injured against Wake Forest, but still played against NC State. Regardless, Kienholz is on the injury report, and Pete Nakos of On 3 is giving an update on the quarterback.

“Louisville QB Lincoln Kienholz and DB Koen Entringer will play Friday night against Florida State, sources tell On3. Entringer's absence in the secondary has been notable in recent weeks. Kienholz was a game-time decision against NC State,” Nakos posted on X, formerly Twitter.

Despite the injuries, Kienholz has been solid despite the injuries. He has completed 96 of 139 passes for 1,394 yards and nine touchdowns. He has also thrown just one interception. Kienholz has also run for 158 yards and scored six times on the ground.

The return of Entringer could be massive for Louisville. He has ten tackles this year and has been great in coverage. It has been noticeable in the pass defense that he was missing the last two games. Wake Forest's Gio Lopez completed 12 of 19 passes against Louisville for 225 yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, CJ Bailey torched the Louisville defense. He completed 24 of 40 passes for 373 yards and two touchdowns.

The Louisville defense will need to be strong against Florida State, who just had a great game against Virginia. They are giving up 33.3 points per game, 109th in the nation. Meanwhile, they are 124th against the pass.

While the return of Kienholz and Entringer is great news for Louisville, it may not be as good news for Mike Norvell. Norvell is on the hot seat at FSU, as whispers of Jimbo Fisher returning to Florida State. Florida State and Louisville kick off at 7 pm ET on Saturday.
