The Vancouver Canucks are having a nice little start to the 2026-27 NHL season. Vancouver is not expected to compete for a playoff spot this year. However, the team is putting in quite the effort this year. Newcomer Paul Cotter is among those leading the effort.
Cotter has scored a goal on Sunday night against the Vegas Golden Knights. The veteran forward now has four goals through his first four games with the Canucks. This has placed him in an exclusive club within Vancouver's history.

The Canucks have had some chaotic games, especially in their first two contests with the Edmonton Oilers. They have won two of their first three, though. And they are currently tied with the Golden Knights on Sunday night.
Cotter's signing was not a league-shattering move when it happened. However, the early return indicates they may have a diamond in the rough. How he maintains this momentum will be quite interesting to see.
