The New England Patriots experienced four injury setbacks in their 26-19 Week 6 win over the New York Jets on Sunday. Wide receiver Romeo Doubs and three offensive linemen were ruled out against the Jets.

Doubs sustained a shoulder injury while scoring a 42-yard touchdown on a pass from quarterback Drake Maye. The play came with 4:10 remaining in the first quarter and gave New England a 7-3 advantage. The 26-year-old hard on his right shoulder after completing the catch and was unable to return.

Doubs reached 21.44 mph while tracking the pass, marking the fastest speed he had recorded as a ball carrier during his five-year career, according to NFL Next Gen Stats. Initially listed as questionable to return, he was ruled out early in the third quarter. He has 14 receptions for 261 yards and three touchdowns this season.

Doubs' injury came on the same day fellow receiver AJ Brown returned to action after being placed on injured reserve because of an ankle injury suffered in Week 1. The Patriots signed Doubs to a four-year, $68 million contract in March before acquiring Brown through a trade in June.

New England also lost starting left guard Alijah Vera-Tucker, who exited in the second quarter with a hamstring injury and did not return. He had played every offensive snap before the game.

Moreover, starting right tackle Morgan Moses suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter. The 35-year-old initially received a questionable designation before being ruled out at the beginning of the fourth quarter. He was replaced by rookie Caleb Lomu, who was available because Will Campbell returned from a knee sprain sustained the previous week.

Ben Brown became the fourth Patriots player ruled out after suffering a knee injury in the fourth quarter. He had moved from right guard to left guard following Vera-Tucker's departure, with Matt Pryor filling the right guard position. Brown's exit brought Walter Rouse, the Patriots' last healthy offensive lineman, into the game at guard.

Brown had been filling in for the injured Mike Onwenu at right guard. Meanwhile, defensive lineman Dre'Mont Jones appeared to hurt his leg in the fourth quarter, but he returned to the field a few plays later.

Sitting at 4-2, New England faces a compressed preparation window before hitting the road to face the Chicago Bears on Thursday. Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel said postgame he did not have definitive updates on the injured players but expressed doubt about their availability for the upcoming contest.
