The Patriots placed offensive guard Alijah Vera-Tucker on injured reserve, the team announced Thursday.
Vera-Tucker was already ruled out for Thursday Night Football with a hamstring injury.
He will miss at least four games before returning.
Vera-Tucker has started five games this season, playing 340 offensive snaps.
The Patriots also announced they have elevated offensive lineman Xavier Newman-Johnson and linebacker Benton Whitley to the active roster from the practice squad for tonight’s game against the Bears.
Newman-Johnson, 27, signed with the Patriots’ practice squad on Sept. 17.
Whitley, 27, signed with the team’s practice squad on Sept. 23.
