The Philadelphia Eagles have waived tight end EJ Jenkins and signed three players to their practice squad as they prepare for their Week 7 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, the team announced on Thursday.
Jenkins appeared in all six games this season, including two starts, but finished his time on the active roster without a reception. He played 67 offensive snaps and served primarily as a depth option, contributing as a blocker and on special teams.
The 6-foot-7 tight end entered the regular season on Philadelphia's 53-man roster after initially being a surprise inclusion during the team's final roster cuts in August. During the Eagles' Super Bowl LIX championship campaign, he appeared in eight regular-season games and all four postseason contests, recording 95 offensive snaps and 91 special teams snaps in the regular season.
Across 16 regular-season appearances with Philadelphia, Jenkins logged one catch for seven yards and a touchdown. That reception came from quarterback Tanner McKee versus the New York Giants in the 2024 regular-season finale. After spending most of the 2025 season on the practice squad, he earned a spot on the active roster this preseason.
