The New England Patriots have AJ Brown back on the field after his spell on the IR with a high ankle sprain. The Patriots wide receiver has not been anywhere near his best since returning, though, something which he is trying to work on.
But Patriots quarterback Drake Maye believes it's just a matter of time before Brown gets back in the groove once again.
“He's a great player for us. He's confident in himself. He's got a great attitude and he'll get things going. I think he's had a tough road of battling IR and coming back and trying to find a flow into things. And we've got a Thursday night game, where it's not a full week of practice. He's only really had our third or fourth practice out there today, with him running and getting into the groove of the gameplan.”

He had just three catches on 10 targets for 27 yards as he committed several drops. He also dropped an onside kick recovery that the Patriots eventually recovered. And in a short week against the Chicago Bears on Thursday night, Brown again had three catches for 48 receiving yards, the most he's had in in his three games thus far.
But after some added rest and practice time, Brown will have an ideal opponent to get back into form against as the Patriots take on the 1-5 Miami Dolphins. The Fins are giving up 8.1 yards per pass attempt, which is the third-most in the NFL. They've also surrendered 14 passing touchdowns, which is tied for sixth in the league.
