Patrick Ricard earned his first win with the New York Giants after they blasted the Dallas Cowboys, 28-20, at MetLife Stadium on Sunday.

Ricard joined the Giants in March after nine seasons with the Baltimore Ravens. He signed a two-year, $7.63 million contract, making him the highest-paid fullback in the NFL.

In a media conference, he said he has seen nothing but positive things with his new team.

“I just see how hungry and how humble everybody here is. There are so many guys here who want to prove themselves. They want to win. You can see it in how they work, how they prepare, and how much they love each other,” said the 32-year-old Ricard in the video shared by The 33rd Team's Ari Meirov.

He came in with coach John Harbaugh, who was hired by the Giants after getting fired by the Ravens. Harbaugh was adamant about changing the team's culture. When Ricard arrived, he was amazed to see the camaraderie in the locker room.

“I remember when I first got here for OTAs, seeing how much guys were cheering each other on in our running workouts and being there for one another, hanging out in the locker room for two hours after we worked out for the day. I'm like, ‘Wow, New York City is right across the river right there, and guys would rather be in the locker room hanging out,'” added the three-time All-Pro.

The brotherhood translated to the field against the Cowboys. They notched their first win at home in a season opener since 2010. They also snapped an eight-game losing streak to Dallas in primetime meetings in Week 1.

Ricard recovered a fumble and made key blocks that allowed Cam Skattebo to rush for 81 yards and a touchdown on 18 carries.

The Giants will try to continue their momentum in Week 2 against the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium.
