As her fourth season with Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce gets underway, his wife, Taylor Swift, is ready to go, according to Pat McAfee.

During the Sep. 15, 2026, edition of the Pat McAfee Show, the former NFL punter talked about meeting Tom Cruise, who sat with Swift during the Chiefs' season opener. He promised the pop star was “all in” this season.

“I got a chance to chit-chat with Miss Taylor Swift last night. Huge day,” McAfee said as a selfie with him and the singer was shown on screen. “Her mom brought sugar-coated bacon strips.”

This was the first time McAfee, who was drenched in sweat, got to talk to Swift. He was at their wedding, but this was their first real conversation.

He noted that she was “all in” during every play of the game. McAfee called it the “most into it suite” that he had seen, and things were especially rowdy during Kelce's 59-yard catch.

McAfee was one of the reported thousand guests at Swift and Kelce's wedding, which was held on Friday, July 3, 2026. The wedding was held almost a year after the couple announced their engagement in August 2025.

Kelce started his season with a vintage performance. He was the Chiefs' leading receiver, logging 71 yards on three catches. He's likely hoping to get into the end zone in Week 2 against the Indianapolis Colts.

The Chiefs' Week 1 game marked the return of Patrick Mahomes to the lineup. He suffered a torn ACL in December 2025, and yet he was able to return to the lineup in Week 1 of the following season.

He threw for 184 yards and two touchdowns in his return game. Mahomes also rushed for the Chiefs' first touchdown of the year on their inaugural drive.
