The Carolina Panthers did not show any mercy on Sunday, burying the Philadelphia Eagles, 25-14, in front of a dejected crowd at Lincoln Financial Field.
The win-hungry Panthers, who were coming off a bye week, took advantage of the badly depleted Eagles, who were missing their two best players, Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley. Carolina improved to 3-2, while Philadelphia suffered its fourth straight loss and dropped to 2-4.
Tommy Tremble was instrumental in the victory, scoring two touchdowns on four receptions. After finding the end zone in the fourth quarter, Tremble taunted Cooper DeJean by pointing at him.
The 26-year-old Tremble explained that it was payback for DeJean body-slamming Mitchell Evans in an earlier play. The sixth-year tight end, however, regretted it.
“I just thought that earlier personal foul was just kind of egregious, and so it was uncalled for, something that didn't need to happen. I shouldn’t have retaliated. That wasn't cool for me to do,” said Tremble in a report from Panthers.com's Kassidy Hill.
Because of DeJean's unnecessary act, the Eagles were given a 15-yard penalty.
Tremble also trolled the home crowd with his “Rocky” celebration after his first score. The iconic movie featuring Sylvester Stallone was set in Philadelphia.

He delivered the knockout punch to the Eagles with his second touchdown with 6:33 left in the fourth quarter, catching Bryce Young's 19-yard throw.
The Panthers will host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 7.
