Panthers score opening-drive touchdown after Bears fumble

The Bears lost a fumble on their first possession of the season. The Panthers scored a touchdown on theirs.

Chicago quarterback Caleb Williams’ first pass of the season was caught by Luther Burden, who fumbled. Carolina’s Will Lee recovered.

From there, Panthers quarterback Bryce Young marched his offense down the field, completing three of his four passes for 41 yards. On third-and-goal, Young moved in the pocket to escape pressure and found a wide-open running back Chuba Hubbard in the end zone for a four-yard touchdown.

The Panthers now have a 7-0 lead in Carolina.
