Week 8 of the 2026 NFL season will kick off with a matchup between two NFC hopefuls looking to make their mark this season. The Carolina Panthers are traveling to Wisconsin to take on the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. Let's take a look at which of the key players in this game will be major fantasy football assets this week for their respective teams.
Panthers-Packers Fantasy Football Week 8 Start ‘Em

QB Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers
Love has been one of the best quarterbacks in fantasy football this season. Currently listed as QB9 by FantasyPros, the Green Bay Packers quarterback has been mad efficient while also protecting the ball. Against a weaker defense like Carolina, Love is poised to be one of the better-performing quarterbacks this week. He should be starting in any league, even in two-quarterback formats.
WR Christian Watson, Green Bay Packers
Part of why love has been such a beast this season has been the emergence of Christian Watson as a bona fide WR1. Finally fulfilling the role that fans have desired for him, the Packers wide receiver has been a consistent performer in fantasy football this season. The WR8 this season should be an easy starter for managers, even against a Panthers defense that's been stingy against wide receivers.
RB Chuba Hubbard, Carolina Panthers
Hubbard just had 33 yards on the ground against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but part of that is due to the game flow not falling in his favor. Still, the Panthers running back was involved in the passing attack, catching four passes for 27 yards. Hubbard is projected to have a bounce-back game against a Packers defense that's allowed a ton of fantasy points to opposing running backs (6th-most points to running backs this season).
TE Tucker Kraft, Green Bay Packers
The Panthers have been mediocre at holding tight ends in fantasy football this season, ranking 14th in the league in points allowed to tight ends. That's the perfect opportunity for Kraft, this year's TE3, to wreak havoc. He's been consistently performing this season, especially in the last four games.
Panthers-Packers Fantasy Football Week 8 Sit ‘Em

RB Josh Jacobs, Green Bay Packers
The Panthers are actually allowing the second-most points to running backs this season, which should make this an easy matchup for Josh Jacobs. However, Jacobs is just playing in his second game this season, and his first game did not look that impressive. Starting him at this point is a major risk, especially if you have safer bets at the running back position to take his spot.
Article Continues BelowQB Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers
After a lackluster performance in Week 7, Bryce Young's fantasy football stock has fallen considerably. Yes, the Panthers were up against one of the better defenses in the league, but expectations for the star quarterback has heightened after his electric start to the season. He's now up against a Packers defense that's allowed the fourth-least points to quarterbacks this season. He's a risky starter, even if you ignore his elite start to the 2026 season.
WR Tetairoa McMillan, Carolina Panthers
McMillan has been maddeningly inconsistent this season, his numbers being propped up by a 45-point explosion against the porous Detroit Lions defense. The Packers don't have a defense as bad as the Lions, and McMillan is coming off a down game as well.
TE Darren Waller, Carolina Panthers
One of the feel-good stories this season in Carolina, Waller had himself a 12-point performance in Week 7. However, that is extremely misleading, as he was only targeted twice and just had his 50-yard touchdown as his only touch. He's a risky start, especially against a Packers team that's allowed the least fantasy points to tight ends this season.
