Florida Panthers star Brady Tkachuk has returned to Ottawa to take on the Ottawa Senators on Wednesday night. Tkachuk is playing his first game as a visitor in Ottawa since a trade to the Panthers in the summer. Senators fans let him hear it, but it didn't take long for him to silence the crowd.
Florida had a power play opportunity in the first period. Tkachuk worked down low by the net, and the puck eventually reached his stick. He turned and fired a shot on goal that found its way into the net. Florida took a 1-0 lead, and Tkachuk certainly seemed to enjoy the reaction.
Tkachuk had spent his entire career with the Senators prior to the trade over the summer. He served as the team's captain in his last five seasons in Ottawa. He helped lead the Sens to the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 2025 and 2026. Ottawa was a first-round exit both times.
