The San Diego Padres find themselves with their backs against the wall, in their NLDS series with the Milwaukee Brewers. Milwaukee holds a 2-0 lead in the series. As a result, the Padres are going to some extreme lengths to mess with the Brewers ahead of Game 3.
The Padres are blasting elevator music at a Brewers practice ahead of Game 3 in San Diego, X has reported. San Diego lost the first two games in Milwaukee by just one run in each game.
The Padres players have heard already in the news media how this series is pretty much over. They refuse to accept that.
“Those aren't the first comments that we've heard about us this year,” Padres star Manny Machado said, per MLB.com. “It's been all year from everyone. But here we are once again with our backs against the wall. We've overcome it once, and we can do it again. And we're going to do it again. Just a matter of going out there and doing our job and focusing on what we can control.”
San Diego finished in second place in the National League West during the regular season.
Padres looking forward to Game 3

This is not the first time the Padres have faced adversity this year. San Diego was once under .500 in the NL West, following a rough patch during the campaign. The club then got red-hot in the late summer to close the regular season with a 91-71 record.
“We're looking forward to getting back home,” Padres infielder Ty France said after Game 2. “You heard how loud this place was these last two games. So looking forward to getting home and having our fans be just as loud. If not louder.”
Nick Pivetta will be heading to the mound to start Game 3 for San Diego.
“Excited to be home in front of the crowd,” Pivetta said. “Looking forward to the challenge ahead. I think you view this as a great opportunity.”
The Padres and Brewers play Game 3 on Tuesday night.
