Lawyers for Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs, David Z. Chesnoff, Richard A. Schonfeld, and Clarence F. Duchac III, issued a detailed statement strongly denying new allegations made by three women regarding similar incidents occurring between 2021 and 2022. They assert that Jacobs has a considerable amount of tangible evidence to support his defense.
These new allegations have expanded the ongoing NFL investigation that began following Jacobs' arrest in May and his subsequent placement on the commissioner’s exempt list. However, the organization's stance on his future with the team has remained unchanged.
In light of these developments, head coach Matt LaFleur provided strong support for Jacobs during a media briefing. Reports by Rob Demovsky and Ari Meirov on X highlighted LaFleur's commitment to the player. Demovsky noted that LaFleur mentioned the plan is for Jacobs to stay on the roster, quoting him as saying, “We’re going to let everything play out and go from there,” while stressing that the team will allow the NFL to conduct its investigation.

Meirov captured LaFleur's opening remarks, where the head coach reiterated, “We're aware of the prior allegations against Josh. We're going to allow the NFL to proceed with its process. But I would anticipate him being a member of our team moving forward.”
Following LaFleur’s comments, the NFL officially confirmed through Tom Pelissero that its investigation is ongoing and will thoroughly review the newly surfaced allegations as the complex legal and professional situation around the Packers' backfield continues to develop.
