Despite playing without Micah Parsons, the Green Bay Packers have managed to maintain a 3-2 record as their star defensive player continues recovering from surgery to repair a torn ACL. However, while his current team has made a promising start to the season, Parsons has also been keeping an eye on the struggles of his former NFC East rivals.

All four NFC East teams, the New York Giants, Washington Commanders, Dallas Cowboys, and Philadelphia Eagles, failed to secure a win in Week 5. Parsons did not hold back when discussing the overall quality of football being played by his former rivals.

“It's been bad ball,” Parsons said in an interview with Bleacher Report.

Beyond the division's overall struggles, Parsons also weighed in on the Commanders' recent matchup against the New York Giants. Washington had an opportunity to secure a victory in overtime but failed to execute on the final play, leaving the game tied at 27-27.

Parsons is now in his second season with the Packers after spending the first part of his NFL career with the Cowboys. His former team has also struggled to find consistency this season, sitting at 2-3 after its first five games.

Meanwhile, Green Bay continues to wait patiently for Parsons to make a full recovery. The star pass rusher has not yet received medical clearance to return to practice as he works his way back from the serious knee injury. His absence has created a significant challenge for the Packers' defense.

However, there is some optimism surrounding his progress. According to longtime NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Parsons could return to practice next week.

The Packers are preparing to face the Dallas Cowboys next. But Parsons will once again be unavailable for the highly anticipated matchup against his former team.

Missing the opportunity to face his former team may be disappointing, yet the Packers are unlikely to take unnecessary risks with their defensive star's recovery.
