The Green Bay Packers are on a short week with a Thursday Night Football assignment coming up against the Carolina Panthers, and there appears to be some concern about the availability of one of their key performers for that game.
On Tuesday, the Packers released their latest injury report, showing wide receiver Matthew Golden missing practice for the second straight day due to foot and shoulder issues. It is important to note, however, that Green Bay didn't actually practice on the field and just held a walkthrough on Tuesday.
The former Texas Longhorns star wide receiver is in the middle of a breakout season, becoming one of the most reliable downfield weapons for quarterback Jordan Love in a Green Bay offense that is fifth in the league overall with an average of 268.6 passing yards per game.
Golden also dealt with a shoulder injury last week, but he ultimately played in the Packers' 20-17 loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday at Ford Field in Detroit. He briefly left that game after getting shaken up, but was able to finish the contest with 39 receiving yards on six catches and 12 targets.

Golden, the 23rd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, has 512 receiving yardsa nd three touchdowns on 34 receptions and 69 targets so far in his second year in the pros.
