Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur doesn't seem to be too concerned about the status of his team's top two weapons downfield heading into Sunday's game at Ford Field against the Detroit Lions.
Asked whether he was worried about wide receivers Christian Watson and Matthew Golden not playing against the Lions, LaFleur simply said “No,” according to Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.
Both Watson and Golden haven't practiced fully this week, but nothing seems serious enough to worry about for the two talented wide receivers.
That is music to the ears of Green Bay fans, as Watson and Golden represent the biggest shares of receiving yards among Packers players through six weeks of the 2026 NFL regular season.
Watson is leading the team with 538 receiving yards, six touchdowns and 20 first downs on 29 receptions and 57 targets. Golden, on the other hand, is in the middle of what is becoming his breakout season in the pros. He is second on the team with 501 receiving yards, three scores, and 23 first downs on 30 catches and 57 targets.
