D’Andre Swift took a hit on his knee on a third-down play for no gain on the Bears’ second possession. He scored a touchdown on their third possession.
Swift’s 4-yard touchdown run has the Bears leading the Patriots 10-0.
Luther Burden had big catches on both of the Bears’ scoring drives. His 26-yard reception to the New England 28 set up Cairo Santos’ 43-yard field goal. He nearly scored a 62-yard touchdown two drives later, but Kevin Byard tackled him at the New England 4 to set up Swift’s touchdown.
Burden has two catches for 84 yards.
Caleb Williams is 4-of-7 for 95 yards.
The Bears outgained the Patriots 106 to 63 in the first quarter.
