Fans will have to do more than just boo Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs to get under his skin. Talking about his experience in his first game back after being removed from the commissioner’s exempt list, Jacobs made it clear that the boos he heard in last Sunday's 20-17 road loss to the Detroit Lions at Ford Field in Detroit did not affect him at all.

“S–t, I don’t care. I’mma hoop. That’s all I can do. All I can do is control what I can control. I’mma go out there and play ball,” the former Alabama Crimson Tide star running back told reporters on Tuesday, via Matt Schneidman of The Athletic.

Jacobs missed the first six games of the season after landing on the commissioner’s exempt list for pleading no contest to two misdemeanor charges stemming from an altercation with his then-girlfriend in May.

The 28-year-old Jacobs appeared in 35 offensive snaps in his 2026 season debut, but was inefficient in the run game, racking up only 36 rushing yards with zero touchdowns on 11 carries. As a team, Green Bay had 60 rushing yards on 19 carries for a mere average of 3.2 yards per attempt. The Packers' rushing attack was a big issue for the team before Jacobs' return, and it continues to be the case even after his comeback.

However, Jacobs still found the end zone in his return, recording 55 receiving yards and a touchdown on five catches and seven targets against the Lions.

The reception can be much better for Jacobs in Week 8, when the Packers host the Carolina Panthers for a game at Lambeau Field in Green Bay.
