The San Antonio Spurs secured back-to-back wins on Tuesday with a 130-103 win over the Sacramento Kings at the Frost Bank Center. Julian Champagnie played a significant role in the convincing win with an outstanding scoring performance, and the Spurs forward made it clear that he believes in heat checks when his shots are falling.

During the postgame press conference, Champagnie was asked whether he believes in heat checks and the Spurs forward calmly shared his approach to shooting when he feels he has the hot hand.

“For sure. Yeah. You should have air-watched that. Three shots, two of them,” Champagnie said.

However, Champagnie did not take all the credit for his impressive scoring display. The Spurs veteran acknowledged his teammates for consistently creating opportunities for him.

“My team has a really good job of getting me open and finding out where I'm at in the court,” he added. “So I feel like that's it, I only give credit to them. Without them, I'm not going to be making no shots, so credit to them.”
