Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum capped Tuesday night’s 125-124 overtime win over the Brooklyn Nets with his first buzzer-beater since returning from a torn right Achilles, adding another milestone to his comeback.

With Boston trailing 124-123 and 2.3 seconds remaining, Derrick White inbounded to Tatum. The Celtics star took two dribbles against rookie Mikel Brown Jr. and buried a 17-foot jumper as time expired, sealing the Celtics’ third straight victory.

Tatum tore his Achilles in 2025 and returned in March. Tuesday marked his first 40-point game since returning. He also made a career-high 18 free throws on 22 attempts.

The Celtics Wire’s Daniel Donabedian shared Tatum’s postgame reaction on X, formerly Twitter, after reporter Noa Dalzell asked how the game-winner felt following his injury recovery.

The following story is in development and will be updated shortly.
