Green Bay Packers safety Javon Bullard made his feelings about the Chicago Bears clear Thursday, emphasizing that kickoff time will not change his team's approach to its NFC North rival.
As the Packers (2-2) prepare to host the Bears (3-1) in Week 5, Bullard said Green Bay is focused on beating Chicago regardless of when the game takes place.
Speaking to Dominique Yates of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Bullard delivered a blunt message ahead of Sunday's divisional showdown.
“I ain’t gonna lie, it don’t really matter what time we play. We’re trying to kick their a**… So, that’s the idea of it, you know what they said, 7:15, 8:15, 1 o’clock, 3:45, like it don’t really matter. We playing the Bears. They don’t like us, we don’t like them. It’s gonna be primetime for us regardless.”
Bullard's comments come ahead of the first meeting between the rivals since Chicago eliminated Green Bay in the NFC Wild Card round this past January.
The Packers suffered a disappointing collapse in that postseason matchup, adding another chapter to one of the NFL's longest-running rivalries.
Packers look to avenge playoff loss against Bears without Caleb Williams
Green Bay enters Sunday's contest with some momentum after defeating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 17-14 in Week 4. The victory brought the Packers back to .500 following a difficult start to their 2026 campaign.
Chicago, meanwhile, enters the matchup with a 3-1 record despite dealing with a significant injury at quarterback.
The Bears remain without Caleb Williams, who suffered a Grade 2 hamstring strain during Chicago's Week 2 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
Williams' absence presents another challenge for Chicago as it prepares to face a Packers defense eager to avenge January's playoff defeat.
For Bullard and Green Bay, Sunday's matchup represents an opportunity to build on last week's victory while handing their division rival its second loss of the season.
The Packers will host the Bears at Lambeau Field on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.
