The Green Bay Packers are currently gearing up for their upcoming game on the road vs the New England Patriots. The Packers are coming off a bye week, currently sitting at 5-3 on the season.

Fans have been eagerly awaiting the return of star pass rusher Micah Parsons, who still has yet to play in a game this year as he works his way back from last year's torn ACL.

Now, head coach Matt LaFleur has given a positive update on Parsons's status.

“He's been cleared to go full go,” said LaFleur, per Albert Breer of the MMQB on X, formerly Twitter.

However, Breer did also report that “LaFleur then said Parsons will be limited today as part of a plan to ramp him up.”

Parsons is not expected to be on the field when the Packers take on the Patriots this week, but it's certainly a good sign that he is now back out on the practice field and ramping up in his return process.

Green Bay stumbled out of the gates this year to a 2-2 record, including a particularly ugly home loss to the Atlanta Falcons early in the season, but they have since gotten back on track, most recently blowing out the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football to push their record to 5-3.

Adding one of the game's best overall players in Parsons to the mix should only help Green Bay's ambitions to turn themselves into a force to be reckoned with in the NFC playoffs this year.

In any case, kickoff between the Patriots and Packers is set for Sunday at 4:25 pm ET.
