Christian Watson torched the Chicago Bears in the Green Bay Packers’ 31-7 Week 5 victory. He then delivered a playful reminder that even spectacular catches can come with a little help from the defense. Watson finished with 143 receiving yards and two touchdowns. His 53-yard third-quarter score stole the show, though. With Bears safety Dillon Thieneman closing in, Watson reached over the defender to secure the deep ball. He absorbed a hit and slid into the back of the end zone without losing possession. It was an outrageous grab, and Watson later admitted Chicago probably should have broken it up.

“Honestly, I was kind of joking around with some of the guys after, that's just one of those ones that you watch it back on tape, and you're like, ‘The DB should've broken it up or it should've been incomplete,’” Watson said with a smile. “Sometimes, you just find a way.”

Watson explained that he was simply tracking the ball rather than overthinking the play.

“I wasn't thinking too much. Just go get it and came down with it,” he added.
