The Minnesota Vikings recently made headlines when they signed veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. to their practice squad following his recent release from the New York Giants. The move comes amid the Vikings' impressive 4-0 start, one which has included some struggles on the offensive side of the ball.

Now, Beckham Jr. has gotten a big update on his status before Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints on the road.

“The #Vikings are elevating WR Odell Beckham Jr from the practice squad prior to the game against the #Saints,” reported NFL insider Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network on X, formerly Twitter. “Some added depth and insurance with two top WRs questionable.”

Indeed, both Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison are listed as questionable for the Vikings against the Saints on Sunday, with the team having struggled to put points on the board over the last couple of weeks. In fact, the Vikings have not scored a touchdown in two of their games so far this year, although they still managed to win both of them.

Meanwhile, Beckham Jr. did not record a catch during his brief second stint with the Giants this year, only appearing in a limited number of snaps, but the fact that he is continuing to make rosters would seemingly prove that he still has at least something left in the tank, and Minnesota might be relying on him if Addison and Jefferson are unable to go.

In any case, the Vikings and Saints are slated to kick things off on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm ET from New Orleans.
