South Carolina football faces turbulence following the Kentucky game. Tensions boiled over involving quarterback LaNorris Sellers. Even before throwing a touchdown against Florida Saturday.

Sellers and his wide receiver Mazeo Bennett Jr. were seen getting involved in a verbal spat on the sidelines. But all seemed to be well on the next play. That's because Sellers connected with Bennett for this score:

That 12-yard touchdown broke a 10-10 tie, with Bennett covering 12 yards on the score. The Gamecocks poured it on the No. 16 Gators from there.

Sellers fired off one more touchdown pass, this time a 26-yard strike to Donovan Murph that placed South Carolina up 24-13. The returning quarterback later called his own number in short yardage, punching it in from one yard to make it 31-13.

The latter touchdown forced some fans to leave “The Swamp” in disgust. Florida entered as a big 11.5-point favorite and nationally ranked. Gator fans started envisioning their team potentially playing for either the SEC title or landing in the College Football Playoffs before Saturday. Now Sellers and company just placed both thoughts on thin ice in Gainesville.

South Carolina, meanwhile, showed that its still alive and kicking after watching its season unravel early. Which includes head coach Shane Beamer landing on the hot seat. Yet the Gamecocks became bolstered in re-adding star edge rusher Dylan Stewart from a brief indefinite suspension. Stewart made his official return against the Gators.

So the underdog Gamecocks weren't through with shredding Florida after that brief heated exchange. Sellers fired off one more touchdown to Lex Cyrus on a 21-yarder, making it 38-13 late in the fourth quarter.
