Nottinghamshire have appointed Michael Temple as the club's new chief executive, following Richard Kenyon's sudden departure to take on the same role at Lancashire.
Temple had been serving as Notts' interim chief executive and has a long association with the club, having returned as commercial director in 2018. He started out in the marketing department at Trent Bridge before going on to work as head of commercial at Glamorgan and then holding a similar position at the London Stadium.
"Michael has demonstrated total commitment to Nottinghamshire and has provided assured leadership as interim chief executive," Notts chairman, Andy Hunt, said. "He understands what this club means to its members and supporters, and combines that understanding with commercial and operational experience, mature judgement and significant ambition for our future.
"We look forward to working with Michael to support successful teams, further strengthen the club's financial position, develop our facilities and ensure Trent Bridge continues to offer an outstanding experience for everyone who visits."
Kenyon succeeded the long-serving Lisa Pursehouse in 2025 but had been in the role for less than a year before being appointed by Lancashire, the club he had supported since boyhood.
Temple said: "It is a privilege to be appointed chief executive of a club that means so much to me. There is much to look forward to at Trent Bridge as we prepare to host the men's and women's Ashes next summer, return to our redeveloped pavilion and position ourselves to build upon the winning records of our teams.
"The support I've received over the past few weeks and throughout my 16 seasons at Trent Bridge has been immense, and I'm incredibly proud to lead a group of people that care about this club as deeply as I do and are committed to shaping a prosperous future."
