Northwestern football will be playing one last game at the old Ryan Field before the grand opening of their new stadium on Oct. 2. Before the move, they've made sure to extend head coach David Braun with a new contract, according to ESPN's Pete Thamel.

“Sources: Northwestern and coach David Braun have agreed to a new contract, extending him through the 2031 season. Braun had been on his initial deal, which came after he earned the job as the interim in 2023. His prior deal had been through 2028, so this adds three years and delivers a significant salary increase,” Thamel wrote on X, formerly Twitter.
