Noel Gallagher has revealed that his brother Liam will be 'off the booze' for Oasis' newly announced 2027 tour.

The legendary Britpop band have confirmed 38 more dates for 2027, including a return to Knebworth – where they famously played two nights in 1996 at the height of their fame – and 11 nights at the Etihad Stadium, home to Manchester City, who the Gallagher brothers famously support.

And Gallagher exclusively told talkSPORT when they made the decision to carry on playing, having ended their 16-year hiatus in 2025.

That tour included five gigs at Wembley, and it was there that it became clear that it wouldn't be the end of their comeback.

When Oasis decided they were 'going to do it'

Joining Andy Goldstein and former Manchester United goalkeeper Ben Foster on talkSPORT DriveTime, Gallagher confirmed: "It was after the second Wembley show [we decided to tour again].

"Nobody really knew what was going to happen, how it was going to go.

"We did Cardiff and Manchester and by the time we got to Wembley…. it was decided we were going to do it."

Gallagher, who hinted on talkSPORT earlier this month that a tour announcement was imminent, also explained that Oasis planned all along to play on the continent.

"We couldn't not do Europe because our fans in Italy and France and Germany and Spain have been brilliant," he added. "It was always the plan to do that.

Oasis will also cross the pond to to perform in Las Vegas and Boston.

"The Vegas and Boston gigs we were supposed to do last year," Gallagher said.

And while the band will be on the road for a good two months, Gallagher admits they can't 'do it like they did in the 90s'.

"Liam will be off the booze and I wasn't for the last tour, but I might be for this.

"You've just got to go to bed early. We can't do it like we did in the 90s; we can't even do it like we did in the 2000s, but you've got to pick your battles."

Asked what he thought was the best show of the 2025 tour, Gallagher gave a someone surprising answer.

"The second night at the River Plate stadium [El Monumental] is one of the gigs that none of us will ever get," he replied. "You had to be there.

"People don't want to hear it after the World Cup, but those people in that country [Argentina], that stadium, they're sent from heaven. It's unbelievable when Oasis play in Buenos Aries."

Gallagher was also asked about the prospect of releasing new music.

Oasis' seventh and most recent album, 'Dig Out Your Soul' was released back in 2008.

But fans will have to wait for fresh material for the time being at least, with Gallagher shooting down any suggestion of a return to the studio: "There won't be any new music."
