The San Francisco 49ers took on the Arizona Cardinals at Levi's Stadium in Week 3 action that saw Mike Evans get carted to the locker room with a disconcerting injury. The 49ers, without Nick Bosa, also lost star offensive tackle Trent Williams and another defensive star during the game.
Defensive back Deommodore Lenoir left the game according to Matt Barrows of The Athletic, and got an update later on. Lenoir took an accidental hit from teammate Fred Warner, prompting his exit.
“Injury update: Deommodore Lenoir is being evaluated for a concussion,” the 49ers' official X account added.

Later, Williams also suffered an apparent head injury during a short Christian McCaffrey touchdown run.

The game started off with a bang as Evans flipped a pitch to Deebo Samuel for an 80-yard hook-and-ladder touchdown in the first quarter. The 49ers outscored the Cardinals 10-6 in the second quarter, extending their lead before the Cardinals closed to within three points near the start of the fourth quarter.
Purdy wasn't his usual efficient self passing the ball but he had over 250 yards and two touchdowns as the fourth quarter continued toward its inevitable conclusion. The 49ers also held an edge in total yards early in the fourth quarter, but a Jacoby Brissett one-yard touchdown pass to Jeremiyah Love helped pull Arizona to within 23-20.
The 49ers' injury concerns began mounting on a day when they already started out short-handed. Injuries have been Kyle Shanahan's team's bugaboo in recent years, but San Francisco has one of the deepest rosters in the NFL, a net positive for a team with Super Bowl aspirations.
