The Green Bay Packers' wait to have Micah Parsons back on the field is almost over. The star pass rusher, who has been rehabbing his injured knee, is nearing his much-awaited season debut, with one game in particular looking likely.

“Packers star Micah Parsons is expected to return to practice next week and make his 2026 debut in November, with the most likely return date coming Thanksgiving Eve against the Rams,” NFL insider Tom Pelissero posted on X, formerly Twitter.

Parsons was traded in August 2025 to the Packers by the Dallas Cowboys, then agreed to a record four-year, $188 million contract. He was having a fantastic debut season for Green Bay, recording 12.5 sacks in 14 games. However, he suffered a torn ACL against the Denver Broncos in December and missed their playoff loss to the Chicago Bears.

Despite missing Parsons, the Packers have had no problems getting to the opposing quarterback this season. They currently lead the league with 22 sacks, including six on Bryce Young in their 27-19 win over the Carolina Panthers on Thursday night.

But of course, it will still be a huge boost for the Packers to add one of the most dangerous pass rushers in the entire league in Parsons to a defense that has already been making a ton of plays under new defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon. Aside from leading the league in sacks, they also have a league-leading 10 interceptions.

But before potentially getting Parsons back in Thanksgiving Eve against the Rams, the 5-3 Packers have two more tough games to go. They will go to Foxboro to take on the New England Patriots. Then, they host the only unbeaten team left in the league, the rival Minnesota Vikings, at Lambeau Field.
