The Indianapolis Colts are expected to have a fire sale ahead of the NFL trade deadline. Indy is 2-6 and on a four-game losing streak after going all in during the 2025 season. The Colts have already traded away multiple players ahead of the deadline, but they have plenty of players who could join that list. So when will the trades start flying once again?

NFL insider Jordan Schultz shared that the team does not plan to make any trades until after Week 9.

“Sources: The #Colts have received plenty of calls on several players, including Jonathan Taylor, Josh Downs, Grover Stewart and others,” Schultz wrote on social media on Thursday. “But the belief around the league is that, barring an offer that blows them away, Indianapolis plans to wait until after Sunday’s game vs the Cowboys before revisiting the offers on the table and making the trades that make sense on Monday and Tuesday ahead of the deadline.”

Indy already traded Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner in late October. Now the Colts are expected to keep selling their talented players as they prepare for the future.

Running back Jonathan Taylor is the best being talked about ahead of the deadline. Taylor is one of the best backs in the NFL and several teams have inquired about his availability. Based on Schultz's reporting, it seems that Indy will make a decision on Taylor's future early next week. If he is not moved by 4 p.m. ET on November 10th then he'll stay in Indy for the rest of the season.

The Colts do not have a first-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft. They also have no long-term answer at quarterback with Daniel Jones not looking like the guy. So it makes sense for Indy to load up on draft picks and rebuild for the future.

In the meantime, it will be fascinating to see if the Colts bench players like Taylor in Week 9 to prevent injuries before the deadline.

Colts vs. Cowboys kicks off at 1 p.m. ET on Nov 8 from Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
